Las Vegas

Non-conventional Marketing Leader

challenge

Las Vegas has long been a global hotspot for tourism. The vibrant nightlife, over-the-top resorts, and endless entertainment options attract millions of travelers each year from around the world. It’s a billion-dollar industry that is vital to the economic well-being of Clark County and ultimately, the State of Nevada. Keeping Las Vegas top-of-mind among travelers worldwide is the responsibility of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). For over 45 years, R&R Partners has been the LVCVA’s marketing and PR partner developing targeted marketing campaigns tailored to specific demographics and interests. However, when competition from emerging global destinations and shifts in consumer preferences impacted visitation, R&R realized it needed a leader who was not afraid to bring a non-conventional strategic approach to maintaining Las Vegas’s allure and sustaining its position as a premier tourist destination.

Results

In December of 2016, Yanick Dalhouse was hired to lead the Las Vegas marketing and PR team at R&R Partners. After years of leading efforts in both domestic and international destinations including Belize, Suriname, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Maine, Yanick was the perfect person to assume the role of Vice President of Brand Management overseeing the Las Vegas account. Yanick’s collaborative approach, innovative marketing strategies, adaptive marketing campaigns and unwavering commitment to Las Vegas’ success were instrumental in navigating turbulent times and driving visitation number up. Yanick’s legacy serves as a testament to the transformative power of a driven strategic leader of branding, marketing, and PR. An experience that has led to the genesis of Uniquely Driven.
